About our products
Are your products actually certified, or is that just marketing?
Actually certified. FSC for all bamboo and wood products, GOTS for all cotton textiles, OEKO-TEX for fiber products, and EPA Safer Choice for our cleaning formula. We hold the documentation for every certification and will send it to you on request. Email hello@heirloomearth.com.
What does FSC certified mean for bamboo?
The Forest Stewardship Council independently audits the entire supply chain — from the bamboo forest through to the finished product — verifying sustainable harvesting, no illegal logging, and fair labor practices at every step. It's the most rigorous wood and bamboo certification in the world.
Are the beeswax wraps safe for food contact?
Yes. The wraps are made from GOTS-certified organic cotton infused with beeswax, tree resin, and jojoba oil — all food-safe, all natural. They're not suitable for raw meat or very hot foods (above 80°C / 175°F), but for everything else — cheese, produce, bowls, bread — they're completely safe.
Is the cleaning formula safe around kids and pets?
Yes. Our cleaning tabs carry EPA Safer Choice certification, which means every ingredient has been reviewed for safety against human health, aquatic life, and the environment. The formula is fragrance-free by default, with a citrus option also available.
Are the products compostable at end of life?
The beeswax wraps are fully home-compostable — cotton, beeswax, tree resin, and jojoba oil all break down naturally. The bamboo board and utensils are compostable or can go into garden waste. The glass spray bottle is infinitely recyclable. The cleaning tab packaging is compostable paper. We've thought about every end-of-life scenario.
Care & use
How do I care for my bamboo cutting board?
Wipe clean after each use with a damp cloth. Never soak it or put it in the dishwasher — prolonged water exposure causes warping and cracking. Once a month, rub it down with food-grade mineral oil or linseed oil to keep the surface conditioned and prevent drying. The board will develop a patina over time — that's character, not damage.
How long do beeswax wraps last?
Up to 12 months with proper care. Wash in cool water with a small amount of mild dish soap after use, and lay flat to dry. Never use warm or hot water — it melts the wax. When the wrap starts to lose its stick, you can refresh it by laying it on parchment paper in a low oven (170°F / 75°C) for about 2 minutes.
Can I use the spray bottle with my own cleaning solution?
Absolutely. The borosilicate glass bottle works with any liquid cleaning solution. We designed it to be used with our tabs, but it's a great bottle regardless of what you fill it with.
Orders & shipping
When will my order ship?
We process orders in 1–2 business days. Orders placed before 12pm MDT on business days typically ship the same day. You'll get a tracking number by email as soon as it's on its way.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — free shipping on all orders $65 and over within the contiguous US. Standard shipping is $4.99 for orders under $65.
Can I add a gift note?
Yes. There's a gift note field at checkout. We'll include it handwritten on a card inside the box — no extra charge.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet. We currently ship within the contiguous United States only. International shipping to Canada and the UK is in the works — sign up for our email list to be notified when it launches.
Subscriptions & refills
Can I subscribe to refill my cleaning tabs?
Yes — subscribe and save 15% on cleaning tab refills. You choose the frequency (monthly, every 2 months, or every 3 months) and can pause, skip, or cancel any time. Refills ship in compostable paper envelopes, no plastic.
Do beeswax wraps come as a subscription?
Coming soon. We're building out refill subscriptions for the wraps as well — sign up for our email list to be the first to know.
Returns & issues
What's your return policy?
30 days from delivery, unused items in original packaging. Email hello@heirloomearth.com with your order number and we'll send a prepaid return label within one business day.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Email us a photo and we'll send a replacement immediately. No need to return the damaged item.
